From Feb. 13 to Feb. 15, the theater department put on its biggest production of the year, “The Unsinkable Molly Brown.”
The musical centers around a real historical philanthropist, Molly Brown, who, after her husband strikes gold, uses her newfound wealth to help those in need, fighting for women’s rights, labor rights and immigration reform.
WHHS is one of 16 schools nationwide that received a grant to perform the revised version of the musical, making it a regional premiere. Cast members of the play were given the opportunity to do an interview with Fox 19 about their experience.
Performances took place in the WHHS Auditorium at 7 p.m. all three days.
