Three teen fishermen and additional bystanders jumped into action to help a man out of the Ohio River on April 21. The man, who was having a medical emergency, drove into the Ohio River at the Greenwood Boat Ramp. The driver was spotted by the three fishermen.
Two of the fishermen jumped into the water to help the man escape the vehicle. Then, officials helped by tying the car to a tree to prevent it from floating away. Others around the boat ramp also assisted.
Around 6:20 p.m., officers and fire crews were called out to the location. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. The driver was alert and conscious when transported to the hospital.
