After 57 years of hosting a Fourth of July fireworks show at Ault Park, Cincinnati Parks announced that they are canceling the event.
The fireworks show attracted people across the tri-state and usually involved live music and food trucks.
As the popularity of the event increased, many problems arose involving traffic congestion, the safety of viewers and an increase in the difficulty for volunteers to efficiently coordinate the event.
Many are disappointed by the cancellation of this long-lasting tradition, including Cincinnati City Council member Seth Walsh who is working with other council members to find a way to bring back the beloved celebration.
