Essaye Tekia

Essaye Tekia, News & Features Writer

In his 1st year as a Chatterbox staff member, Essaye Tekia is striving to work as a writer and
journalist for the News and Features team. He hopes to hone his photojournalistic skills so
that he can be prepared for his work in journalism in college.

Essaye is an avid member of the Arts Program at Walnut. He is a second year Marching
Band member and also is in Senior band. Other interests include plant growing and calisthenics.

Essaye hopes to go to UC, where he’ll major in journalism, after which he hopes to become
an investigative journalist.

When he isn’t on social media or practicing his clarinet, Tekia usually takes walks or plays
his favorite game, League of Legends.
