Behind the drawing: Chalk creations in progress for groups D, E, and F
Glenn and Manders take a look at their chalk drawing creation in the middle of the competition. The amount of artistic talent and ability possessed by the drawers combined with careful planning combines for impressive creations. “I look around pinterest and see if there’s anything cool, then I go into taking reference photos,” Glenn said.

Many students have outstanding artistic ability which sometimes gets overshadowed by the academic rigor of our school. The chalk drawing is a way for them to express their ability. These are the pieces they created.
Freshmen Ellie Glenn, Sophia Sroufe, Levi Whitaker, and Saffi Manders compete in the chalk drawing competition on April 20. The chalk drawing was a part of the larger Earth Jam celebration, which is a fun event celebrating the environment put on every Spring. “[I enjoy]ust having people ask me questions out here, listening to the good music, and hanging out with my friends,”, Glenn said.
