Jana Smith, ‘24, recommends “The Girls I’ve Been,” by Tess Sharpe. Smith says that it is an interesting book with lots of action. The novel is about the daughter of a con-artist who gets taken hostage during a bank heist.

With summer reading on the horizon it can be difficult to choose a book, here are eight book recommendations from Walnut students.
Lovie Tacho, ‘24, recommends the dystopian novel “Divergent,” by Veronica Roth. The novel has a lot of action and a good plot. “Divergent,” is about Tris, who lives in a society where people are sorted in five factions.
