The popular pianist and composer Conrad Tao performed at Music Hall on March 5 from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The program consisted of music from Schumann along with Debussy’s first two études.
Born in Urbana, Ill., Tao was recognized for his musical talents at an early age. When he was only 18 months old he played children’s songs on the piano by ear, and at the age of 13, he was featured on the PBS and NPR series From the Top.
Tao has appeared as a piano soloist with numerous symphony orchestras across the world and is the recipient of multiple awards such as the Avery Fisher Career Grant and the Gilmore Foundation Young Artist.
