Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is one of the most celebrated holidays across the continent of Asia. The holiday celebrates the beginning of the traditional Lunar calendar.

In Chinese zodiac, 2025 is the Year of the Snake, which can also be referred to as the “little dragon”. In several countries in the Eastern Hemisphere, snakes are praised and seen as forgiving animals which “shed toxicity.” The snake is characterized by its resilience and creativity and is supposed to bring positive qualities into the new year. 

Lunar New Year is filled with festivities and traditions, such as setting off fireworks and cooking. The color red represents good fortune and prosperity, and is featured in many decorations and gifts.
