The French parliament voted no-confidence in the current administration. This significantly weakened the government and was the first time the government sustained a non-confidence vote since 1962. 

France’s prime minister, Michel Barnier, attempted to reform the healthcare system using a presidential decree, but did not get enough support. 

Despite this, Barnier will likely retain his position until a new prime minister is chosen.
