The Daniel Carter Beard Bridge, commonly known as the Big Mac Bridge, caught fire on Nov. 1, around 3:30 a.m., after a wooden playground beneath the bridge started burning. 

Work has quickly begun to restore the bridge after severe damages to the steel beams.

No injuries occurred and work has been efficient so far. Reconstruction is expected to take weeks, as workers need to address both the Ohio and Kentucky sides of the bridge.
