At this year’s LACMA Gala, Kim Kardashian, an American media personality and socialite, wore the Attallah Cross pendant, which Princess Diana once wore.
The Attallah Cross, weighing approximately 5.25 carats and measuring 5.4 inches by 3.7 inches, was sold to Kardashian for about $212,000. This marked its first public appearance since Diana’s passing in 1997, according to CNN.
Kardashian styled it with a plunging low Gucci dress, adding a shawl and finishing it off with pearl chokers. As much as she made a statement, her fashion choice sparked a commotion in the media.
Media outlets have raised concerns about Kardashian’s access to these heirloom artifacts, following reports that she ‘ruined’ Marilyn Monroe’s dress at the 2022 Met Gala, leaving missing beads and noticeable breakage on the dress.
