Two men were shot toward the end of a youth football game at WHHS’s South Field on Oct. 20.
Cincinnati Police Lt. Chantia Miller said there was a confrontation between a group of men, which led to shots being fired at around 7:30 p.m.
The two shooting victims were taken to UC Medical Center—one in serious condition and the second having non-life threatening injuries. No children were injured.
According to Miller, there is a possible suspect, but they are not in custody.
Miller said many children witnessed the shooting. Their parents feel that it is no longer safe to bring their children outside, according to WLWT5.
Kathryn Robinson, a Cincinnati Public Schools spokesperson, said the South Field was rented out and the shooting had nothing to do with WHHS or CPS.
