On April 30, a man crashed a car into a home in east London and attacked nearby civilians and police officers with a sword, resulting in the death of a 13 year old boy and injuring four others.
The man, whose identity is yet to be released, was apprehended and arrested shortly after the attacks.
“It was a huge sword. I saw it all from my bedroom window, and then when he went into the driveway, a couple doors down, I ran outside and then the police tasered him there,” Chris Bates, a local resident, reported to the BBC.
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak commented that the incident was “shocking,” and that “Such violence has no place on our streets,” according to ABC News.
