The annual chalk drawing contest on April 12 is right around the corner, and it’s time for students to begin designing their entries and forming their teams.
Similar to last year, the contest will take place on the plaza and will be held from 10:15 to 2:30.
Teams consist of four members who must create an original design in full color, which the judges score on originality, craftsmanship, composition, color and more on the day of the competition.
Ten high school teams and three junior high teams will qualify after student voting in April. Designs are due no later than 11 a.m. on April 3.
Each qualifying team will need to pay a fee of $20, and each member of the team needs to sign a permission slip.
