On March 6, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley dropped out of the Republican presidential race after receiving less than 10% of the delegates in the Super Tuesday primary election.
Haley’s exit likely facilitates the renomination of former president Donald Trump. Haley did not endorse the former president but did congratulate him in her address on March 6.
“It is now up to Donald Trump to earn the vote of those in our party and beyond it who did not support him, and I hope he does that,” Haley said.
At 52 years old, Haley has the potential to run in future elections but has not expressed interest since suspending her campaign.
