In her first year as a Walnut Student Media publications staff member, Mariam Barry is eager to work as a Fine Arts Writer. She is excited to learn more about journalism and gain more writing experience. 

Barry has only taken Newswriting prior to deciding to join the Chatterbox staff and she is excited to be a part of something new and contribute to the newspaper.

Barry is also the secretary of WHHS’ Future Business Leaders of America chapter and a member of the Muslim Student Association. 

Barry hopes to go to Ohio State University and join their Business Scholar’s Program and major in business management.

She also enjoys writing poems as well as reading them. Barry is also into fashion and enjoys shopping whenever she has the opportunity to.
