Katie Ragland, Broadcast Team Member
In her second year as a Walnut Student Media publications staff member, Katie Ragland is thrilled to work as a broadcast journalist. She hopes to produce exceptional content and increase viewership on videos. Â
This is her second year in Journalism Production, and she has also taken photography and newswriting classes in previous years. She attended the Ohio University High School Journalism Workshop over the summer, where she learned directly from several professionals from the broadcast journalism field.Â
Ragland also participates in Spanish Club, Ski Club, and runs Cross Country. She enjoys volunteering and hopes to spend more time at the FreeStore Food Bank this school year.Â
Ragland hopes to major in communications at a school she falls in love with. She also wants to work in communications one day, most likely in public relations.
