In his first year as a Chatterbox staff member, Brennan Riggs, is happy to work as a Broadcast team member. His goal is to learn more about how to make good news stories and how to view journalism in the real world.

Riggs took Newswriting 1 as a junior high student and worked on the newspaper at his elementary school.

Riggs also has a strong interest in Japan, often studying the language, culture and using various Japanese news services such as NHK (Nippon Hōsō Kyōkai/Japan Broadcasting Corporation) and The Japan Times.

Riggs hopes to study Japanese literacy at University of Hawaii, then move to Japan to work in a few different fields of interest (photography, translation, technology).

Riggs enjoys anime and writing.
