Netflix Brings Christmas Early
‘Snow-Flix’ is in the air folks with Netflix’s early Christmas spirit. Many new movies have aired revolving around the holiday season. Christmas is a special holiday and it’ll take more than a cup of hot cocoa to get you into the holiday mood. Netflix gives out the perfect medicine to bring you back to your jingle-bell joy. Here are their newest Christmas movies that are sure to warm your heart and make you want to bring out the ornaments and gift wrap.
The Princess Switch, a movie about a low-town baker who meets her royal sister-in-disguise and following the path of a cliche classic, happens to find a little love along the way, is one movie coming to Netflix. The two sisters switch bodies for a while and try to experience what it’s like to literally be in one another’s shoes. Although portraying a particularly predictable plot, this movie brings about a twist similar to movies such as The Parent Trap. A surprising reunion of two long-lost sisters; one that leads to a wild adventure leading to a surprising twist that will keep you on your toes.
Another movie is The Christmas Chronicles, starring Kurt Russell who played in numerous classics such as Overboard (1987), Sky High (2005) and Guardians of the Galaxy (2017). This comedic family-friendly film is about the discovery that the power of family and true belief can go a long way. The main characters are two siblings: an adventurous girl named Kate, and her mischievous brother, Teddy. After the death of their father, they both struggle to find hope in Christmas again. That all changes when they end up at the hands of a not-so-sunny St. Nick. The two siblings then have to find a way to work together in order to save Christmas for all children around the world.
A movie that would most likely appeal to those interested in the music industry is The Holiday Calendar. Co-starring in one of Netflix’s newest, most popular, Christmas film is Quincy Brown, who is Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ son. This is surprising to some, but it’s not uncommon for rising singers to come out of the light by starring in a hit film or two. The movie is about a photographer played by Kat Graham named Abby, who doesn’t have the best luck when it comes to following her dreams. That all changes when she inherits an antique advent calendar from her grandfather that appears to predict the future, or better yet, grants all her Christmas wishes. Abby finds items in the calendar that as she soon discovers, leads her to look for love in all the wrong places. This movie brings a whole new meaning to magic under the mistletoe.
Well there you have it, more new movies for you and your family to enjoy, during your favorite winter holiday. But not before grandma gives you those knitted sweaters that you love so much!
