Hey eagles! I am the section editor of Style and Culture this school year.
As a creative person, I utilize fashion, film and pop culture as symbols and means of expressing my emotions. When I feel down, I watch a movie and sometimes find myself completely relying on a realm of fiction instead of reality.

When it comes to style and movies, I consider myself fairly knowledgeable and use them to inform my everyday choices. I often find myself fascinated by movies, not just by the vivid storytelling, but by the cinematography. Every camera angle and lighting switch is a distinct stylistic choice made by the directors that I am constantly enamoured by.
Aside from movies, fashion captures my soul and the things I wear. I’m a fool for a good fashion trend, just like the next person, and I want to explore that in this column.
When it came to finding a topic for my fascinating, exciting and spontaneous column, I aimed for something regarding my passions: fashion and film. So, I will cover topics varying from suede looks for the upcoming fall season to new hairstyles I’ve seen, and even the cinematography or compositional aspects of a movie I saw last week.
I’m not limiting this column to just my ideas, though. If a student or teacher has a request or desire for me to cover something more in-depth, you can write to me about it! If you’re interested in hearing my fabulous review on a movie or my opinion about a fall fashion trend you predict, you can visit our website whhscbox.com or contact us at cboxwalnut@gmail.com.
I’ve started this column to be more involved with the student body, and I think fashion and films allow people to express themselves creatively and beautifully.
I fell in love with this section because of all the different styles and perspectives WHHS has to offer, and as section editor, I vow to cover each of these viewpoints to the best of my ability.. After all, no one person is completely the same.
