On March 1, crowds gathered in front of Tesla stores around the United States, protesting Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla, and his newfound role in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) that is aiming to reduce government spending.
Most protesters only went as far as waving signs and chanting to represent their discontent with Musk’s actions. However, seven Tesla charging stations were found on fire following the protests.
Musk responded to the protests via X, saying, “DOGE has very high approval from the people as a whole, but the grifters super hate it.”
