Xbox: Owned by Microsoft and released in 2001, the Xbox is a competitor to PlayStation. The name derives from the DirectX API software. 

Xbox has a loyal fanbase with many exclusives such as Halo, Forza Horizon, Gears of War, Indiana Jones and many more. The newest models of the Xbox are the Series X and Series S.

The Series X costs $499 and the Series S costs $299 currently.

PlayStation:Released by Sony, the PlayStation has had five iterations so far.

PlayStation also has many exclusives like Astrobot, Spiderman, God of war and Gran Turismo, among others.

PlayStation offers three models that start at $450 and were originally priced at $299 upon its release in 1994.

Nintendo: Released in 2017, the Nintendo Switch is the newest out of the four and is more geared towards children with many cartoons, such as mascots and characters.

Some Nintendo Switch exclusives include the Super Mario games, Luigi’s Mansion, Metroid, Mario Kart, Splatoon and many more.

The Nintendo Switch has three models starting at $199.

PC: Computers are the most expensive out of the group, with some costing thousands of dollars. In exchange for the high price, consumers get unmatched performance and customization of every part, with every aspect being upgradable.

Personal computers (PC) get exclusives from Xbox and PlayStation and give you the ability to add modifications to the games you play.
