The Future Business Leaders of America chapter at WHHS traveled to Columbus, Ohio for the FBLA 2024 State Leadership Conference on Feb. 22-23.
Twenty-five students attended business-oriented workshops and competed in competitive events in topics ranging from sales presentation to graphic design. Fifteen students also qualified for the national conference.
FBLA Club President Kimaya Mundhe, ‘25, founded the WHHS chapter two years ago.
“I think FBLA appeals to so many people, even if you don’t know if business is something that you want to pursue,” Mundhe said. “It gives you a chance to explore careers in business through competitive events and networking at conferences.”
At the conference, Mundhe was elected state president after previously serving as state webmaster. Arshya Maricar, ‘26, was elected state treasurer as well.
“I’m so excited and honored to be elected state president and get to serve on the state level, which is really cool to do,” Mundhe said. “I was involved in a lot of the behind-the-scenes work of this conference.”
