In her first year as a Walnut Student Media publications staff member, Ella Crutcher is excited for this opportunity. She hopes to further her writing skills and go out of her comfort zone for this new experience.
Crutcher enjoys writing, practicing journaling and writing short stories for fun.
Crutcher also plays the violin in the Walnut Hills music department, and participates in vigorous ballet training after school.
![Costumes for ballet vary depending on the performance, but are always elegant and easy to move around in. “For 'The Nutcracker,' which is the one performance we do every year, the costumes… are kind of Christmassy, very festive,” Crutcher said. “If we're doing a traditional ballet, we will use the traditional dresses [which are] longer skirts.
