Penda Dabo, Remembrancer Staff
After two years as a member of the Remembrancer staff, Penda Dabo has loved making a yearbook that commemorates her years at Walnut. She is proud of all of the amazing work she has been able to accomplish with her team and looks forward to seeing next year’s book come to life.
In her two years on staff, Dabo has been Section Editor of the Student Life as a junior and held the Managing Editor of School Life position her senior year. She hopes next year’s staff will make a yearbook that they are proud of.
Dabo hopes to utilize her attentive listening and clear communication skills throughout her journey in the adult world. Journalism has inspired her to use strong storytelling elements and composition to shed light on a variety of topics and highlight diverse voices.
Dabo will be attending the University of Michigan for Biology Health and Society on a pre-dental path. She hopes to bridge the gaps in healthcare that lead to inequalities and improper care. Dabo wants to highlight the value of dental care, through consistent advocacy.
