Tattoos

There is no exact date that the first tattoo appeared, but archaeologists believe they appeared around 6,000 B.C. Today tattoos are part of pop culture.

Celebrities such as Demi Lovato, Shawn Mendes and Chloë Grace Moretz have various symbols tattooed on themselves and share them with their fans through social media.

However not just celebrities get tattoos.

SENIOR Mariah Davidson got a heart intertwined with an infinity sign tattooed on her ankle in 2013.

“There is no meaning I just think tattoos are so cute,” Davidson said.

SENIOR CJ Alexander got his first tattoo in Dec. 2014. He decided to get his upper right arm tattooed with clouds and praying hands with the words ‘In Love and Memory’ with ‘Daddy’ at the bottom.

“I got the tattoo so early because my father’s death really hurt me.” Alexander said. He also has two other tattoos on his other arm.

SENIOR Haley Windsor got her shoulder tattoo right before school started in Aug. 2016. Her tattoo is a quote from a book that her mom used to read her – Love You Forever by Robert Munsch.

When asked how getting a tattoo felt Davidson and Windsor both said it hurt.

Alexander had a different opinion: “It did not hurt. It felt awkward at first but not painful until the clouds,” he said.
