Wally Hill: Valentine's Day edition

Mackenzie Canto

Wassup.

My name is Wally Hill and I am a SENIOR among you watching, listening and taking in everything at WHHS.

It’s Valentine’s Day, my dearest students and faculty, and love is in the air.

This is the special time of year that students with candy, balloons and teddy bears roam the halls, and a time of the year that I secretly wish that I could be the giver or receiver of that.

Trust me when I say that although I like the way my life is, I can’t help but to think about how I could be that person.

As a SENIOR, I know that right now is not the time for love and all that, but is there no one who will love Wally?!

Eagles need love too.

But then again, I think about something glorious. Something that just makes my heart jump with excitement. Something that makes me feel in love.

Love. It makes me warm and happy and I just can’t wait for it to come.

But shall I disclose my love to the student body of WHHS? Shall you know my secret admirer that looks at me with taunting eyes knowing that it is so close yet so far?

If I should tell, please keep it a secret. I would not want them to find out.

Please come close. I shall whisper it in your ear.

It’s…

It’s…

It’s…

Graduation.

Man, I am glad to get that off my chest. WONDERFUL, GLORIOUS GRADUATION.

97 days left, SENIORS.

My love of getting to walk across the stage in May to get my diploma trumps any candy, bear or person.

That is something that I can wait for and dream for and know that it will never leave me or break my heart.

But… if anyone wants to give a sweet Eagle some candy for Valentine’s Day, I’ll accept a bae gram.

Who knows? You could finally find out my identity.

Although, I doubt it. I’m one-upping all of you in my sleep.

Salutation WHHS,

Wally Hill
