On Wednesday, April 22, Iran attacked three ships and seized two of them in the Strait of Hormuz. This comes after the United States seized and boarded an Iranian ship that had ties to Tehran’s oil trade.
President Donald Trump has extended the ceasefire in the Middle East with no sign of peace talks resuming. However, he announced that the navy blockade in the Strait of Hormuz will stay.
The Iranian Ambassador, Reza Amiri Moghadam, met with the Pakistan Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, on Wednesday April 22. Both of them wanted to discuss ongoing peace efforts. Iran announced that they won’t have peace talks with the U.S. until they move their blockade.
