With the 2025-2026 NBA regular season coming to a close, the regular season award ceremony is coming.

The most prestigious of the awards is the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award given to the player who is the most positively influential to their team.

The race for the MVP award is tight. The favorite players for the award currently are Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the 2024-2025 NBA MVP and star player for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Nikola Jokic, a Serbian big-man averaging a 27-point triple double, and Victor Wembanyama, the 7’4 French center who’s undisputedly favorited for the 2025-2026 defensive player of the year award (DPOY).
