This week, AP Biology students took a field trip to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden to observe animal behavior and explore what it’s like to work at the zoo both as a scientist and an animal expert.
They toured the lab where scientists work to conserve plants and animals and learned about the freezing technology they use to preserve species.
They then were tasked with choosing an animal to observe to learn more about how different species spend their time.
“I enjoyed the field trip because I feel like I learned a lot about how zoos help with animal conservation and got to hang out with my friends,” Ruby Fielding, ‘27, said.
