On Feb. 22, the 79th annual British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) took place at the Royal Festival Hall in London, and was hosted by “The Traitors” host, Alan Cumming.
The night was dominated by Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another,” which led the charge with 14 nominations and six wins. Similarly, Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” followed closely with 13 nominations and three wins.
The awards were also interrupted by the subject of the British indie film “I Swear,” John Davidson, who has Tourette’s syndrome.
Later in the night, Robert Aramayo, who played Davidson in the movie, won the Best Leading Actor award over Michael B. Jordan and Timothee Chalamet, which many considered a pleasant surprise.
Overall, the night was one for the ages. To see the full list of winners, click here.
