A mass shooting happened on March 1, 2026, outside Buford’s Backyard Beer Garden on West Sixth Street in Austin, Texas, leaving three victims dead and about 14 people injured. 

The suspect, 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne, allegedly fired at crowds from his vehicle before continuing the attack on foot. Police responded within minutes and fatally shot him.

 Investigators are examining possible extremist motives after photos showed him wearing clothing reading, “Property of Allah” and a shirt with Iranian flag colors. Authorities later searched his home and vehicle for evidence while the Federal Bureau of Investigation joined the investigation.
