Robotics team wins at first qualifier

The WHHS robotics team, The Nuts, recently competed in the Central Ohio Qualifier in Newark this past weekend, Jan. 9-10, in the first qualifier of the season. They played eight matches and were a part of the winning alliance, along with Team Calamari.

In addition, The Nuts won the first-place Inspire Award, leading to an immediate qualification for the state tournament.

“I was so excited when our team was announced as the Inspire Award winner because we have worked so hard and spent countless hours practicing,” Selby Lin, ‘27, a member of the team, said.

The Nuts’ next competition will be this weekend, Jan. 17-18, at the Lebanon Qualifier.
