A few days ago, anti-government protests broke out in Iran amid their internet blackout.
Citizens protested the Supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and Iran’s theocracy.
In response, Iran has cracked down on these protests, leading to a death toll of 572 as locals have said it’s, “Much worse than you can imagine.”

The United States threatened Iran with strikes and a forceful response to their crackdown on the protestors.
The U.S. has tried to have talks through envoys however Iran has stated they will only begin talks that are, “Based on the acceptance of mutual interests and concerns, not a negotiation that is one-sided, unilateral and based on dictation.”
