Aight chat, how ya been 6,7 to 12 grade legends?

The worldz def not peak rn fr, but at least we got ballerina cappuccina. Folks been beefin’ over the most goofy-ahh things, but The Chatterbox squad wants to send the 6,7th street-type shenanigans back to the DMs.

With our goofy-ahh language, our teachers are massively failing, low-key they tryna aura-farm being like “I hope you have an Ohio sigma day!”

No cap, The Chatterbox fam thinks you’re the absolute GOAT of this community.

We will be with you through the highs and the Lows, we will never let you Taper into ghost mode, and we will never let your stories Fade (if ykyk).

This year, we tryna outmog our past chopped papers, looksmaxxing our photos, visuals and coverage style. We’ll cover when you’re cookin’ and help you when you’re cooked.

So pick up our nonchalant paper each issue, blud — this typa content is only in Ohio.

To every wonderful WHHS administrator, advisor, teacher, student teacher, security guard, custodian and cafeteria staff member, welcome to the school year of 2025-2026!

As you begin settling into your classes, shifts or new positions, our talented Chatterbox staff is doing the same, sharpening our reporting skills, dusting off our AP Style Guides and continuing to adapt to the wild political and cultural climate we’ve been thrown into.

Nationally, there has been more tension in communities, with differing opinions clashing more violently each day. WHHS has been shielded from the majority of this tension, but our community has slowly become more and more disconnected.

With more unexplainable Gen Z slang and ever-evolving teenage struggles, it’s becoming harder and harder for adults and students in the building to reach a common ground.

And so, with our small but mighty staff and dozens of dedicated club members, The Chatterbox is committed to connecting and supporting our community.

Through sharing your stories, we hope to establish a strong foundation for our community, ensuring that the student body understands your unique perspectives.

However, we cannot do this alone. We ask that you be open-minded and consider your students’ perspectives. We encourage you to read The Chatterbox, show The Walnut Weekly to your students every Thursday, and think about how you can contribute to bettering our community.
