With exam season arriving, nobody wants to think. I don’t want to think, you don’t want to think and my editors don’t want to think. Prepare a simple hard-boiled egg or two, and not a single thought has to enter your mind. And to jazz things up a little, let’s give the Taurus some recognition with cow and bull decorations! Here’s what you’ll need for this recipe. Don’t worry—the measurements are listed in the recipe too, so you don’t have to worry about glancing up and down over and over.
- Eggs
- Decorations, such as
- Food-safe markers
- Macaroni
- Poppy seeds
- Soy sauce
Place your desired amount of eggs in a pot, and add enough cold water to cover the eggs by 1 inch. Wait until the water is boiling strongly. At this point, cover the pot with a lid, and let the eggs sit for 12 minutes. Prepare a bowl of ice-cold water, and put the eggs in once they are done boiling. Once the eggs feel cold, take them out and peel the shell off. I’m going to be honest, I have no clue how you can consistently do this without messing the egg up. For the decorations, get creative—use what you have! To recreate mine, carefully cut one egg in half, avoiding the yolk. Use a food-safe marker to draw spots and a face, and pasta to mimic horns and a piercing. You could also use poppy seeds for eyes, soy sauce for a muddy background, or anything you want! Whether or not you’ve added your personal touch, feel free to dig into your art!
