Two years after its first appearance, the time has come. My column, ‘L’s kitchen,’ is over. This segment has been incredibly fun for me, despite the many failures along the way. I am so incredibly lucky to have gotten this opportunity, and I will always be grateful. 

My advice is to never idolize creators. If you made a recipe and were disappointed in the results, chances are mine were worse—not because of the recipe, but simply because of dumb mistakes. My dog has ruined so many dishes that he could be considered a regular taste-tester. 

It has been amazing sharing these treats with all of you, and I thank all of you for giving me this joy. From the worst cook to ever run a cooking column: goodbye.
