On Friday, Jan. 10, president-elect Donald Trump was sentenced after being found guilty on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.
Trump only received an unconditional discharge, meaning he is now a convicted felon but will receive no other punishments.
According to CNN, Trump tried to push back the court date until after his inauguration, but his request was denied and the ruling was made public. As a result of all this, Trump will now be the first president with a criminal conviction in office.
