Russian authorities placed Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas on their most wanted list after Kallas allegedly damaged soviet statues.
After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began almost two years ago, Kallas announced that Estonia would remove all Soviet monuments.
Kallas is the first head of state to be on the Kremlin’s most wanted list since the invasion began.
On Feb. 12, Kallas said on social media that the criminal proceedings were proof she was “doing the right thing.”
