The Bio-Eco Club meets in Schnure’s room every Tuesday. The club focuses on community and local issues, and organizes Earth Jam.

Bio-Eco Club basks in outdoors

Bio-Eco Club is a student-driven club that aims to allow the WHHS community a greater opportunity to improve the environment and enjoy the outside world.

They coordinate many of the Earth Jam festivities that occur during the spring, hoping to create a day for students to have fun outside. The club also puts together several wilderness trips every year in which students can participate. Many members also took part in the recent tree planting initiative along Sulsar Ave.

On a broader scale, the club also works to educate themselves and the WHHS community about the environment. “We care both about the local environment and the environment as a whole,” William Culbertson, ‘19, said. “We definitely try to raise awareness about global issues and local issues.”
