  3. Click on “My Portrait”
  4. Check out the photo requirements (use portrait mode; solid, light-colored background; adequate light on the face; leave 20% of the space above the face and equal space on either side)
  5. Upload your photo and follow the cropping directions on the screen.

How do I take a good self portrait?

When you go to upload your portrait to ybkplus.com it is really helpful if you have picture ready to go.  But how do you take a great portrait?

The ybkplus.com has several photo requirements:

  • use portrait mode (not landscape)
  • use a solid, light-colored background
  • make sure there is adequate light on your face
  • leave 20% of the space above the face
  • leave equal space on either side of the face

Some other tips:

  • watch your angles, play around with the camera angle to get the best one
  • avoid being back or side lit, the light source should be coming toward your face
  • you can have someone else take the photo, or you can take it yourself with your school laptop, phone or digital camera — it just has to end up on the device where you log into ybkplus.com

So, how do I use ybkplus.com exactly?
