Matthew Youkilis
Editor-in-Chief

In his fourth year as a member of The Chatterbox, SENIOR Matthew Youkilis is excited to be serving as Editor-in-Chief and ready for the challenges this year may present. He hopes to continue to help The Chatterbox tell the important stories that exist within the WHHS community, while also showing how news around the world affects the school community.

Youkilis has previously served as a writer, Section Editor of News and Features and Managing Editor of Current Events on The Chatterbox. He is a member of the Quill and Scroll International Honors Society and received an Honorable Mention in feature writing at the 2016 Journalism Education Association convention in Indianapolis, Ind.

Youkilis is a member of the WHHS ultimate frisbee team, Academic Quiz Team, Model United Nations club and Students Demand Action. He is also a lead organizer for the Lobbying for A Safer Tomorrow organization that lobbies for gun safety legislation.

He hopes to study History and Political Science in college, while working on his university’s newspaper.

Youkilis also enjoys hanging out with his brothers and friends, playing sports and watching movies.

He is very excited for a great year on The Chatterbox.
